French private broadcasters TF1 and M6 have filed two appeals before the Council of State (Conseil d’Etat) against the authorisation granted by the Competition Authority (l’Autorité de la concurrence) to Canal+ to acquire Direct 8.

BabyTV is launching on Canal Digital Cable in Norway today as part of the oprator’s optional basic package. The launch marks BabyTV’s first carriage in Norway.

Dutch IPTV platform KPN Interactieve TV has added Sport 1 Gemist, the catch-up service from Chellomedia’s premium sports channels.

UPC Ireland has signed content licensing agreements with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment to provide their top new movie releases and a further library of catalogue titles to UPC On Demand TV.
