The Taiwanese government has announced a date for the analogue to digital TV switchover.
According to Chinatimes.com, it is planning for all TV services to become digital by 2014.
The switchover was originally planned for 2017, but the growing popularity of digital services in Taiwan has made it possible to bring it forward. Already, more than 50% of Taiwanese households have digital cable, and broadband companies like KBRO have seen surges in service subscriptions.
