Unitymedia to expand TV line-up

German cable operator Unitymedia will add more than a dozen new TV channels to its cable network on 13 November 2012 including pay-TV channel Passion HD which will become available in high definition for the first time.

The other new services are subscription broadcasters Planet HD, RTL Living HD, RCK.tv and Penthouse TV. Also, free-to-air music channel Deluxe Music will return to Unitymedia's cable network.

For Sky subscribers, the HD portfolio will be expanded by nine channels: Sky Sport HD Extra, Sky Hits HD, Disney Cinemagic HD, Disney Channel HD, Fox HD, TNT Serie HD, Discovery HD, National Geographic HD and Nat Geo Wild HD.

In total, the customers of the subsidiary of US media company Liberty Global can then receive 45 HD channels including 14 Sky HD services.
