Lagardère Active hit by production delivery shifts and ad market slowdown

Lagardère Active, Lagardère Group’s division handling press, radio, TV and digital activities has reported net sales of €222 million, down 11.5% like-for-like and down 17% on a reported basis.
"The slowdown in activity was mainly due to temporary delivery shifts to year-end for TV production activities and to a contraction in the advertising market," the group comments.
Regarding TV production, the delays in delivery schedule should be offset at year's end with deliveries scheduled for the fourth quarter like Transporter, Borgia (season 2) and Jo (starring Jean Reno). Pay-TV channels, that comprise children’s, women’s and music channels, are still posting a +3.7% growth. Net sales totalled €672 million as of the end of September 2012, down 6.3% like-for-like and down 37.5% on a reported basis.
