ThinkAnalytics claims win for TV search and recommendations engine in North America, Europe

Revealing details of its performance for the nine months ending 30 September 2012, ThinkAnalytics has now reached 80 million licensed subscribers worldwide after inking 15 new deals in the past six months.

The recommendations engine is designed to enable broadcasters and pay-TV operators to deliver personalised TV recommendations that combine multiple sources of data linear TV consumption, VOD, DVR, Web, tablets, mobile, social media across screens in more than ten languages. It also offers live TV programming recommendations across multiple platforms, including set-top boxes and second screens, such as Web, mobile, tablets and OTT connected devices. The ThinkAnalytics customer roster includes pay-TV service providers in Europe and North America, such as Liberty Global, BSkyB, Virgin Media, ITV and Telenet.
The multi-platform TV search and recommendations engine provider has increased its customer base by 75% over the past six months and boasts a global customer base that now stands at 35 operators, claiming traction and major new operator wins in North America as well as continuing strong growth in Europe.
"TV operators the world over now recognise that delivering personalised and intelligent search and recommendations is the key to unlocking the full value of their content libraries and linear TV for subscribers," revealed Peter Docherty, founder and chief technology officer, ThinkAnalytics.
