Austrian commercial broadcaster ATV2 has expanded its distribution enabling the sister channel of ATV to be received via DTT in Vienna, large parts of Lower Austria and Tyrol.

The channel, which launched on 1 December 2011, has so far only been available via cable and satellite. In mid-December 2012, ATV will roll out via DTT in the Vorarlberg region through the transmitter site Pfänder.
ATV2 complements the main channel with original productions, movies and series. The schedule also contains news programmes and weather reports.
Both channels are owned by German media company Tele München Gruppe which was founded by Austrian-born media entrepreneur Herbert Kloiber.
