Arab filmmakers looking for more production resources and more viewers can benefit from a new partnership formed by YallaTV, the first website showcasing Arab films, and Arab Media Lab, the first media arts platform of its kind serving Arab filmmakers.

Aaron Spring, marketing director for YallaTV, said: “We are very excited about our new, year-long partnership with Arab Media Lab and the Digital Marrakech Film Festival.

“Arab Media Lab offers ‘one-stop shopping’ to Arab filmmakers who want to improve their technical skills, collaborate with other filmmakers and present film and video on a variety of platforms. By partnering with Arab Media Lab, we will be able to reach out to more Arab filmmakers, and help them expand the audience for their work through our rapidly growing Internet film platform.”

YallaTV producer Rana Hdeib added: “Arab Media Lab made valuable contributions to YallaTV’s first annual Middle East Virtual Film Festival.

“We look forward to participating in the 2012 Digital Marrakesh Film Festival with Arab Media Lab. It’s all part of our commitment to substantially grow the Arab film industry and partner with other recognised leaders in this marketplace.”

YallaTV announced the winners of its first annual Middle East Virtual Film Festival earlier this month. It is constantly expanding the number of Arab producers and directors presenting films online, and the number of music videos, shorts, documentaries, and feature titles showcased on its award-winning website: yallatv.me.
