When Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte hurt his ankle last week against the Minnesota Vikings, it looked like it could be a multiple-week injury. Forte believes he won't miss a single game.
Forte said he expects to play this week against the Seattle Seahawks, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
"I'm feeling good," Forte said. "I've been doing a lot of different stuff, seeing the chiropractor, working on it, sleeping in the hyperbaric chamber. That seems to work pretty well. I just continue to do what I did last time."
Bears linebacker Lance Briggs also expressed some optimism about playing this week, although he didn't practice. That's the good news. The bad news is guard Chris Spencer (knee) and wide receiver Devin Hester (concussion) already were both ruled out. Cornerback Charles Tillman (ankle) missed practice. Spencer's fellow starting guard, Lance Louis, is out for the season.
A banged-up offensive line and running game isn't what the Bears need, especially with the Seahawks on tap. That Brandon Marshall-Richard Sherman matchup we're looking forward to might not really materialize because Jay Cutler won't have enough time to throw the ball.
