New sports channel launches in Colombia

Win Sports is to be the first Colombian sports channel to broadcast in a pay-TV format. The signal, which has broadcast in a trial mode since 17 September, offers 17 hours of original programming daily.
Win Sports will offer professional Colombian soccer matches comprising the League, Cup and Postobon Tournament. It will also include the professional basketball tournament and the Futsal Argos League. Among the sports news shows will be Kickoff, Saque Largo, Desparchados, Acceso, Conexión Deportes, Win Noticias and Campeones.
Even though Win Sports will initially be available via cable operators SuperCable, DTH DirecTV (channel 633) and community systems affiliated to Comutv, Emcali, Cable Bello and TV Sur, it can be acquired by any company interested in including it in their channel schedule.
The new channel was created and produced by DirecTV and the Colombian network RCN Television. The signal increases the huge sports channel offering in the country, which includes Fox Sports, ESPN, ESPN 3, Golf Channel, TyC Sports, Speed, NBA TV.
