While the Jets aren't quite sure whether they'll start Greg McElroy or Mark Sanchez at quarterback, it appears for now that Tim Tebow, who was inactive last Sunday for the first time this season with a rib injury, won't be considered.
But that doesn't mean he's stopped making an impact on those around him.
As ESPN New York details, Tebow responded to a Twitter campaign by making a phone call to 17-year-old Matt Hardy, who recently had been involved in an auto accident that killed two of Hardy's friends.
About 7 p.m. Monday, the hashtag #TebowCallMatt began trending nationally, and according to ESPN, that hashtag was retweeted by more than 50,000 users. About two hours later, Tebow called Hardy.
Which led to this reaction from Matt's brother, Mike.
TIM TEBOW JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH MATT! SUCH A CLASS ACT!!
