Tagliabue could rule on bounty appeal by the end of Tuesday

A ruling on the players involved in the New Orleans Saints bounty case could come as soon as Monday or Tuesday, NFL.com's Albert Breer reports. Sources close to the players said former commissioner Paul Tagliabue could make an announcement in the next 72 hours.

The testimony of Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma, former Vikings coach Brad Childress and Saints assistant coach Joe Vittended the latest appeal hearing Dec. 3.

This could finally mark the end of the bounty process. Then again, we've thought this before.
