The Dyle Mobile Content Venture (MCV) for mobile DTV has announced the ESCORT MobileTV receiver for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touch devices, so consumers can access live, local broadcast television on their IOS devices via the iDTV app.

"ESCORT is pleased to be working with Dyle mobile TV to provide a unique viewing experience enabling our consumers to watch a wide range of TV without requiring Wi-Fi or tapping into their wireless data plans," said John Larson, CEO of ESCORT.
The ESCORT MobileTV includes an ATSC-Mobile tuner and a built-in rechargeable battery, and works with Dyle to deliver live entertainment, sports and breaking news from supported stations around the United States. Users can access more than 90 stations in 35 markets, reaching approximately 55% of the US population.
After users download the iDTV USA app from the Apple App Store, $100 ESCORT MobileTV will automatically select the location of the user through the location services on the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. If the location services feature is disabled on the device, the user can still manually select its location before performing an automatic scan to find mobile TV channels available in the user's area.
