After breaking the 200 million request barrier for the first time a month earlier, the BBC iPlayer has continued its solid upward trajectory with 207 million requests in November 2012.

Overall during November 2012 there was a 1% increase in TV requests to a new record of 167 million, two million up on the previous monthly record. Also among the highlights in November 2012 was the second highest weekly request figure ever, 46 million, during the week of 19 November, beaten only by the 51 million generated for the Opening Ceremony week of 30 July.
Even though most devices and platforms delivered an increase in the volume of requests in November, there were record requests from on mobiles, up 7% month on month to 30 million. When added to tablets, handheld devices provided a quarter of overall requests.
Providing a boost to ratings was the latest series of Young Apprentice, whose first episode delivering 1.2 million requests and other popular series included The Secret of Crickley Hall, Some Girls, The Dark Charisma of Adolf Hitler, Dara O’Brien’s Science Club: Episode 1 and Space Dive.
