Alticast gets personal with ThinkAnalytics recommendations technology

Interactive television software provider Alticast has selected ThinkAnalytics as its partner to bring personalised, multi-platform recommendations and intelligent navigation to customers.

Aimed at those in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia, the agreement will see Alticast integrate the ThinkAnalytics' recommendation engine into its Windmill ecosystem which is designed to allow operators and device manufacturers to distribute content freely and securely in a multiple screen environment. The multiscreen Windmill experience is available for cable, satellite, DTT, IPTV, over-the-top (OTT), cloud-based delivery and hybrid environments, and supports HTML5 and Android.

The ThinkAnalytics engine delivers personalised recommendations for live linear TV, VOD and OTT content and supports multiple platforms including set-top boxes and second screens such as Web, mobile, tablets and OTT devices. The platform also supports social media, including information sourced from Facebook and Twitter.
