In order to shorten the time taken by pay-TV operators and media companies to launch new multiscreen services across a range of connected devices, Accedo has launched a new TV Everywhere (TVE) package.
The new solution from the TV application solutions provider is said to be designed to connect content distribution and management platforms with pay-TV applications on any connected device from smart TVs and game consoles to tablets and mobile phones.
An AppView application management product allows for control and management of applications after launch with a pre-integrated second screen experience, allowing device-to-device communication and control. The app also features social networking integration and what are claimed as “unlimited integration possibilities” with third parties from the TVE app for an enhanced user experience.
Significantly, Accedo says that it can ensure revenue generation possibilities with pre-integration of its AdMediate ad network management solution, which supports selected devices and markets.
“Over the past years, we have deployed numerous multiscreen applications with tier 1 operators and media companies. Customers and partners have repeatedly asked us for an attractive application-centric TVE Solution with off-the-shelf high performance products,” explained Michael Lantz, CEO, Accedo. “We believe that [the new TVE product] will complement current products on the market and will provide the most attractive combination of time-to-market and solution flexibility, while at the same time fulfilling customer requirements on functionality and performance.”
