Samsung is adding US Spanish-language network Univision's TV Everywhere service, UVideos, as an app on smart TVs and connected devices.
The UVideos application will be pre-installed in Samsung's personalized app section and also available in the S-Suggest store for Samsung Wi-Fi tablets.
"By partnering with Samsung, the leading Smart TV manufacturer in the US, we are ensuring our viewers can enjoy the UVideos experience on their favourite connected devices," said Kevin Conroy, president, Univision Interactive and Enterprise Development. "This is another example of Univision delivering on our commitment to offer the best in Hispanic programming on the devices most important to them, whenever and wherever they want it."
UVideos offers access to thousands of hours of daytime, prime time, entertainment, sports and news programming. UVideos on Samsung Smart TVs will be synched with a social stream, so viewers can interact and engage with social conversations taking place between their friends, Univision talent and others around the world.
The announcement follows similar deals with Xbox and Kindle, and UVideos is also available on iOS and Android devices. Additionally, UVideos has launched with several partners including AT&T, Cablevision and DISH Network.
