blinkx inks content deal as it eyes hot prospects with KoldCast

In a deal that will see over 225 professionally produced series available on what is claimed to be the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, blinkx has announced a partnership with KoldCast TV.
KoldCast TV offers an international network of original entertainment programming from thrillers to comedies, and will offer blinkx users access to premium online television series, short films and documentaries.
To date, blinkx claims to have indexed more than 35 million hours of audio, video, viral and TV content, and made it fully searchable and available on demand. Applying its AdHoc platform, blinkx will place contextually relevant advertising against these videos and share resulting revenue with KoldCast TV.
Furthermore, as a result of the partnership, asserted blinkx, KoldCast TV's roster of professionally produced series will be simple to search and discover. "As consumers turn more frequently to the Web for their video entertainment, there is a growing demand for high quality, TV-style content," said Julia Blystone, chief marketing officer, blinkx. "Through this partnership with KoldCast TV we are able to provide our audience, which has come to expect professional level entertainment, with fantastic original programming to watch whenever and wherever they choose."
