Frankie (Scoot McNairy) and Russell (Ben Mendelsohn), two not-too-bright ex-cons, are hired by John "The Squirrel" Amato to disrupt a high-stakes backroom poker game, rob the players and frame someone else for the job. That someone else is the card game's manager Markie Trattman (Ray Liotta), who's suspected of staging a previous poker robbery. Unfortunately, the game was under the protection of the mob, whose lawyer (Richard Jenkins) is ordered to find those responsible and take care of them. He hires hitman Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt) to track down the small-time punks.

Peter discovers a briefcase that belonged to his father, which inspires him to find out more about his parents and why they left him. His investigation leads him to Dr. Curt Connors, his father's former partner, whose villainous alter-ego is The Lizard. When Peter is accidentally bitten by a radioactive spider in a lab, he discovers he has super human abilities and decides to put them to good use.

Agent Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner), who works within Operation Outcome, an offshoot of the original Treadstone program, finds his life in danger. When Colonel Eric Byer (Edward Norton) - operator of Outcome and mastermind behind all of the assassin programs, including Treadstone - discovers that Bourne has exposed Blackbriar, he decides to shut down his own program, in the process killing all of the employees involved who know too much. Cross escapes an attempt on his life, prompting the CIA has to go to great lengths in their efforts to assassinate him. With Byer and the CIA hot on his heels, Cross has to use every skill in his arsenal to avoid capture and stay alive.

Lead by Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), the team includes former SAS soldier and blades specialist Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), martial artist Yin Yang (Jet Li), weapons specialist Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), demolitions expert Toll Road (Randy Couture), and sniper Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), the group's newest member is Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth). When a member of their gang is Kidnapped and killed, his comrades vow to avenge him. Although the odds are stacked against them, the band of mercenaries rip through opposing forces, wreaking havoc in the already hostile territory. They're also faced with the task of shutting down a deadly threat with enough power to shift the balance of the world's power forever.

A year after Tom Solomon (Jason Segel) and Violet Barnes (Emily Blunt) begin dating, he proposes. They start planning the wedding, but when Violet receives the opportunity to work at the the University of Michigan, she has to relocate for two years and they put off their marriage for the time being. Tom leaves his job as a sous chef to go with her, but in Michigan, he can only land a job in a deli while his best friend Alex (Chris Pratt) not only gets the promotion that should have been Tom's, but gets married. When Violet is offered a promotion, meaning she'll need to stay at the university for a few more years, the wedding is put off again. The five-year period gives Tom and Violet time to question whether they are really meant to be married after all.
