Online video portal Vimeo has launched German and French language versions of the service.

“As the world’s largest creative network, it is extremely important to us, that our platform offers additional languages to meet the needs of our global community needs. After English and Spanish Vimeo is therefore now also available in German and French,” said Kerry Trainor, CEO at Vimeo, in a statement.

“Our goal is to offer video artists around the world the best tools in terms of quality, creativity and control.”

With over four million unique viewers in Germany, the country is the third largest market for the video portal.

Viewers from Germany and France will see their native language automatically displayed when they access Vimeo.
