The government in Nepal has ordered cable TV operators to resume broadcasting channels they had previously blacked out, according to The Himalayan Times.
The blackout of some channels, including Nepal Television (NTV), NTV Plus and Image Channel by the cable television operators - who gave no reason for their action - is against the National Broadcasting Regulation, said Narayan Prasad Sanjel, spokesperson at the Ministry of Information and Communications in a statement.
“The process to take action against the cable operators involved in the blockade has already been initiated as per the National Broadcasting Act,” he informed.
