French supermarket chain E.Leclerc is launching a pay-TV service for DTT called Reglo TV.

E.Leclerc has entered into an agreement with TF1 to sell subscriptions to its pay channels. The retailer’s move follows the closure of TV Numeric, the company that previously sold pay-DTT subscriptions in the country.

There are two types of subscriptions to Reglo TV, one costing EUR3.95 a month offering Eurosport and LCI (news) and one costing €7.95 monthly for Eurosport, LCI, Paris Première and TF6.

Subscribers need to buy a Reglo TV starter kit costing €29.95 which comprises of a CI+ smart card to be inserted into a suitable TV set. Upon purchasing the set, people will be able to watch two months for free, after which they will have to take out a subscription.
