The crew, called the MOB, strives to win a contest for a major sponsorship opportunity, but Emily's father threatens to develop the MOB's historic neighborhood and displace thousands of people.

That someone else is the card game's manager Markie Trattman (Ray Liotta), who's suspected of staging a previous poker robbery. Unfortunately, the game was under the protection of the mob, whose lawyer (Richard Jenkins) is ordered to find those responsible and take care of them. He hires hitman Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt) to track down the small-time punks.

Set in the future, the world is depicted as nothing but a wasteland. Off an eastern coast lies Mega City One - a metropolis where criminals rule the streets and the only form of order is in a police force known as the "Judges." They hold the combined powers of judge, jury, and executioner. Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) is a law enforcement officer who belongs to this elite corps. He is well-known and feared throughout the city as he faces the everyday challenge of getting rid of the latest scum. His latest assignment is to take down a gang at the heart of a dangerous drug epidemic called SLO-MO, which alters reality by making time feel like it's passing at a fraction of its real speed. In order to stop the gang that is producing and dealing the drug, Dredd teams up with Anderson (Olivia Thirlby), a trainee with powerful psychic abilities. Together they learn that Ma-Ma (Lena Headey) - a prostitute turned drug lord - controls the ruthless clan and has waged a war against the Judges. What results is a vicious battle between Ma-Ma's clan and the Judges in a fight to the death.

John Bennett's (Mark Wahlberg) Christmas miracle happened at the age of eight when he made a wish and his best (and only) childhood friend - his cherished teddy bear named Ted - came to life. Ted gains fame and is even interviewed by Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show. Years later, John is an adult and he lives with his longtime girlfriend, Lori Collins and of course, Ted. Lori gets tired of Ted's filthy behaviour and when she comes home to find him with four prostitutes, she decides to finally put her foot down. John loves Lori, so he asks Ted to find a job and get an apartment. Meanwhile, a creepy guy who has adored Ted since seeing him on television, wants Ted to join his family to be his son's teddy bear, but Ted wants nothing to do with them. He gets a job in a grocery store and falls for the trash-talking new casher, Tammi-Lynn. However, John continues to make up excuses and skips out on work just so that he can hang out with Ted. When Lori finds out how irresponsible John is being, she gives him one last ultimatum.
