New BlackBerry video store and shares surge for RIM as it goes all in with BB10

As it builds up for what many believe is the last throw of the dice in its current form, Research in Motion has announced that it may potentially sell off its hardware business and license out its new BlackBerry 10 operating system.
Following remarks to German media sources that an ongoing strategic review may lead the company to consider the hitherto unthinkable - that is the sale of RIMís BlackBerry hardware division and for the company to focus solely on software - shares in the company surge to a 13-month high.
The news also comes on the back of the company announcing that as it transitions to BlackBerry 10 and beyond it has changed the branding of its BlackBerry App World Web store to BlackBerry World.
The company says that the name change reflects a shift in the type of things you can purchase from the store such as video content allowing users to browse, download, buy, and manage apps using a BlackBerry smartphone, desktop/laptop computer or even the much maligned BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.
