The Romanian station OTV has gone off the air after having its licence withdrawn by the countryís National Broadcasting Council (CNA).

In a statement, the CNA says that its reason for withdrawing the licence is OTVís failure to pay fines imposed on it in each of the last four years.

OTV lists Dan Diaconescu as its main shareholder and the licence was held by a company named Ocram Television Ltd.
