Content security provider Conax and digital TV software and services firmQuadrille are pooling resources to launch a combined version of their best-selling products in the form of a secure push-VOD solution.
The partners claim a combination of the Conax Contego and Quadrille QuadriFast solution will enable broadcasters to launch push-VOD TV services “easily, cost effectively and in record time” providing no less than “an unparalleled” return on investment (ROI). Quadrille has worked closely with Conax to encrypt all content prior to broadcasting to fully secure broadcasters’ valuable premium content.

QuadriFast is designed to allow VOD content to be pushed over any broadcast network and requires no dedicated channel to operate, using the existing bandwidth available on the broadcast channels and auto-adjusts data sending accordingly. Contego content security is designed to support any distribution technology and a multitude of consumer devices.
“Integrating Quadrille’s QuadriFast Push-VOD solutions with Conax Contego feature portfolio allows Conax and Quadrille to offer operators a highly cost-efficient solution for VOD TV, enabling the addition of new exciting services, driving ARPU growth,” claimed Tom Jahr, EVP Products & Partners, Conax. Added Xavier Battas, CEO of Quadrille: “The benefits brought by the combined…solution will help broadcasters to minimise their investments, reduce their time-to-market while greatly enhancing their subscribers’ recruitment, retention and satisfaction.”
