Just in time for SXSW, FLM.TV, which offers a free online video streaming platform for indie filmmakers, festivals and distributors to showcase their work, has launched a pay-per-view video-on-demand (VOD) site to distribute the content.

"FLM.TV has been a pet project of mine for more than four years," said Diane Bernard, president and founder of FLM.TV. "I have seen passionate filmmakers put their hearts, souls and financial resources into these productions only to have to pursue costly venues for distribution with little to no marketing support."
FLM.TV is free for indie filmmakers to use, and also offers social marketing, sales and distribution to tap potential fans in an organic way.
For distributors and festivals, films can be showcased within a branded portal, which can be used as an extended virtual premiere using the FLM.TV platform to sell PPV tickets. Users also can manage revenue through a direct PPV gateway.
"FLM.TV will provide these filmmakers a platform to market, distribute their films and generate revenue from sales," Bernard said. "They can take control of their distribution and the site is free for them to upload their work."
