Mobile social video network Keek has released an app for the BlackBerry 10 operating system.
After downloading the free app from BlackBerry World, users will be able to create and share videos and interact with their followers. Users can create 36-second videos (which are called, naturally, 'keeks') using a webcam or smartphone/tablet camera, and share them with others around the world. Users follow, subscribe and respond to videos with either text comments or video replies (the latter being called 'keekbacks').
"Since the recent launch of BlackBerry 10, we've received many requests for a BlackBerry version," states Isaac Raichyk, founder and CEO of Keek. "We are excited to be able to bring the Keek experience to a brand new audience." The app is already available for iPhone via the App Store, and Android devices via Google Play.
Keek said that it is experiencing "explosive" growth around the world, adding more than 200,000 new users per day and consistently ranking as one of the top social networking apps on iPhone and Android. So far, the social video community has more than 140 million visitors viewing 2.5 billion pages and watching more than 500 million videos in the past 30 days.
