Nearly six months after establishing a working relationship to establish IPTV and VOD products, Dune HD and Beenius are now working together to forge social TV solutions.
Under the terms of the new working relationship, the fruits of which will be shown at TV Connect 2013, Dune HD will showcase its new range of advanced set-top boxes, available pre-loaded with the Beenius Beesmart interactive TV middleware platform. The latter features upgraded social TV functions.
Designed to enable users to connect and share their TV experience across social networks with Beesmart, BeeSocial TV is claimed to make it 'simple and intuitive' for customers to integrate social media with TV viewing, so that operators can benefit from increased loyalty, greater revenues per user and brand promotion on social networks. Dune additionally asserts that its new range of full HD media players and connected boxes has been specifically to make it faster for operators to deploy IPTV and VOD services.
"To successfully turn content into revenues, operators need to deliver innovative services that inspire and excite their subscribers," commented Konstantin Dyshlevoy, CEO, Dune HD.
"Our deepening partnership with Beenius provides an integrated solution that can be deployed quickly and easily, enabling operators to offer new services such as social TV to improve the experience for consumers."
"Working together with Dune HD enables us to provide operators with a flexible, best of breed package tailored to meet their customers' needs," added Matjaž Bevk, CEO at Beenius. "The combination of Dune HD's award-winning set-top box range and our Beesmart platform enables operators to embrace appealing innovations such as social TV quickly and easily."
