SUR LLC, which provides Latin American TV programming to expatriates in the United States, has inked a deal to expand its distribution to the niche Peruvian population in the States.
Comcast has extended its carriage of the SUR Peru channel as part of its Hispanic line-up in certain markets in Florida and Georgia.
SUR Peru will aggregate content from America TV, Frecuencia Latina, PAX Television and TV UNSA, including shows like Al Fondo Hay Sitio, America Noticias, Cuarto Poder, Recargados de Risa, A las Once and La Noche es Mia.
In Florida, SUR Peru will now be available in West Palm Beach, Fort Pierce, Fort Myers and Naples, and Jacksonville, and it will also air in Brunswick, Georgia.
"SUR Peru was the second channel launched by SUR LLC, and quickly became the favourite channel of the Peruvian community in the United States," the company said. "SUR Peru broadcasts programmes with high ratings from Peru's main local channels thanks to the growth of Comcast in the Hispanic market in the US."
