    explications about vplug 1.3.8

    Hello,

could someone explain me difference of Vplug 1.3.8 vs 0.9.6 ?
    especially :
    * is sof*cam.key useful anymore or v_k*ys.db replace it ?
    * what's difference between v_ke*s.db and v_a*s.db
    * is v_ke*s.db automatically updated on internet as softc*m.key was ?
    * does anyone knows informations about cardsh*ring with vplug on pc ?

    thanks for your help.

    My personal opinion.

Go back to an older version. V-plug worked perfectly as it was.
Somebody just wanted to show off his programiing expertise by over
engineering. Basicly trying to fix what did'nt need fixing. Bill Gates
employes hundreds of these people. Unfortuantly we have to use and test the results. The new V-plug seems to be a good bit of programming but totally pointless. All it has done (in my view) made it more difficult for normal people to understand how it works and what to do with it.

Perhaps this was the point of the exercise.

Thanks for your answer, i'm not far to think the same...
    first excuse my english...
can you explain me the situation actually about users of Vplug on pc to obtain scrambled channels from hotbird ?
it don't work anymore but i'm not sure that PC users can't obtain these channels ( pc configuration can always follow evolutions..) but all informations are around demos and the plug-ins section without reaction of users let me think that there 's no problem except with my computer...
    thanks for bringing the light....

    Hi mate

i'll try to bring the light for you

first, softcam.key and v_keys.db are 2 complementary things. They can work together (recommanded) on newer version of vplug.

Secondly, v_aes.db contains tps keys for one week with encrypted day and time of change. It's avoiding freeze when key change (based on the same system than official receiver). It is not automaticaly updated on the internet..You have to download files every week or make it by yourself from a correct aes list.

Please note that it is not working any more since one week due to encryption change from tps !!

Thirdly, in order to set up cardsahring, you have several possibilities :

you can use differents plugins :
    1) wincsc plugin : quite easy to set up but not very performant
    2) Gbox plugin : more difficult to set up but better stability an quality (need a good stable version of progdvb.. the 4.75 is a good one)

Those plugins are not very difficult to download, but it is very hard and complicated to find a server...

    regards
