Spanish online video-on-demand (VOD) platform Filmin has reached an agreement with ITV by which it has purchased ten different products from the British production company meaning that Filmin can now offer over 90 series to its customers.

The company said in an official release that the deal will enable the Spanish audience to discover some of the best award-winning series from ITV, some of which haven't even been broadcast in the UK. The series will be available in the original versions with Spanish subtitles.

The series purchased include the BAFTA-winning Appropriate Adult, starring Emily Watson and Dominic West, and White Heat, which is about some of the most important moments of recent English history.

Other award-winning programmes among the new series include the cult series Dirk Gently – a dramatisation of Douglas Adams' novel – and The Jury, a Peter Morgan thriller.

Some classic productions such as The Forsythe Saga, Hammer House of Horror, Brideshead Revisited and The Kennedys will be also available for Premium and Premium+ subscribers.

Filmin continues to achieve growth within a difficult market and with this new deal it is hoping to repeat the same success it previously achieved with programmes from the BBC (Misfits and House of Cards), RTVE (Cuéntame), Mediaset (Los Pilares de la Tierra), Divisa (Nurse Jackie), Llamentol (Poirot) and Selecta Vision (Mazinger Z).
