    Oscam Rejected group

    Hi,

the last two weeks i 've got problems with 'rejected group' message. today i went to r8666 and it got worse, from one client i got 100000 messages in one day that are ignored, it messes up my stats and my server. I don't know the cause. Does anybody else have this?
mainly i'ts all peers that have one rejected now and then, but on two peers i have 10x the same message in the same timeframe...

    hope someone has suggestions
i'm only working with services on my own local card. my peers are not limited.

    tnx for any response,
    Gimic

I suffer from the same problem...
I tried adding them to oscam.dvbapi to CAID and IDENT in oscam.server and oscam.user
    without sucess..

    Re: Oscam Rejected group

On further log reading I think that the rejected group message has to do with someone trying to get a key for a channel that doesn't exists.
Maybe the frequency of that channel changed and the user didn't updated his channel list?

    Re: Oscam Rejected group

Rejected group mean that you don`t have line or reader capable to provide encoding for requested channel.

    Thank you for clarifying that!

I have the same problem, the question is... that users are from Multics servers... the problem is that... check that, all multics users gave that error....:(

    Re: Oscam Rejected group

you can check that the wait time is correctly set in your oscam configuration - cache/cw cycle menu if it is empty you get a lot of timeouts/rejections

    Re: Oscam Rejected group

Gimic, that is called cheating. Set wait time high enough to get good ecm.... hmmmm, there is something not good about this. I hope you can watch tv on a seca card with ecm times of 3500ms, i cant.

It's wiser to see what caid you have, and what the ecm times should be ! Then allways add +/- 300ms to it, thats your waittime average.

Oh i allso forgot, you will get reader ecm pending list overflow error, and then you have to make the ecm buffer bigger etc. etc.

No no no no. Just calculate and keep waittime as short as possible.

Timeout/rejects are often caused by two things. 1: bad group using. 2: having alot of readers under 60%.

    Now, good luck.

    Re: Oscam Rejected group

    Sorry but,

Timeouts and rejected group, have - NOTHING - to do with cache, waittime or cwcycle.

    @ Gimic:

Rejected group is caused by a request, which cannot be fulfilled by any reader that the user requesting is assigned to. (as turbopower already mentioned)
The Deeper cause: The requested SID is not on any of your readers in the group, OR loadbalancer has blacklisted it on all readers in that group for some reason.
This is the only explanation valid for rejected groups.

Timeouts.. could have a couple of reasons, also depending on protocol used.
Start by highering your general clienttimeout / fallbacktimeout values.

For servers running multiple CAIDS, in a perfect world, fallbacktimeout_percaid should be configured too. (especially for NDS).

    Post Re: Oscam Rejected group

I am new to Linux based STB's.

I just start learning this stuff from the scratch.

    I've never used Linux before.

I have previous experience with Delphi (Pascal), ARM processor assembly / disassembly, reverse engineering CDMA mobile phones, CDMA phone unlocking & flashing, much experience in JTAG.

Now I am retired and just want to reanimate my old hobby of Satellite TV. I used to be very active in this field way back in 1989-1993 when I lived in Russia.

A lot of things have changed since that time and I need to update myself on all new stuff (Linux based STB, Dreambox, Softcam, etc.).

I bought an "Vu+ Solo" clone called "MEELO+ ONE" (believed to be the same as "X SOLO Mini2", "GI Genius E3HD", "AXAS E3HD" and other E3HD clones).

I replaced the original image by HD Media Universe image: HDMU_15870_E3HD_OE_2645 available from HERE

It is OpenPli as far as I can understand, isn't it?

    Now I have this configuration:

    HDMU image, revision 15870

    STB: e3hd
    CPU: BCM7358A1 501 MHz (1 core)
    Kernel version: 3.18.24
    GIT Rev: 2645
    DVB drivers: 2015-12-10
    Python version: 2.7.11
    GStreamer: 1.9.1 (GIT)
    Tuner A: BCM7346 (internal) (DVB-S2)

This is just an introduction because I am going to be very active in this esteemed Forum.

Currently I am not interested in card sharing, I want to remove all unnecessary stuff from my Softcam configs to make it more simple.

At this time I want basically to view BISS and PowerVu channels from Asiasat 7 at 105.5 E using only SoftCam.Key file.

My understanding is that only the latest Oscam emulator can be used for PowerVu decoding. Please correct me if I am wrong.

So I just want to have a stand alone Oscam to view both BISS and PowerVu channels with the help of SoftCam.Key file.

Very simple, isn't it? Well it may look simple for someone but I am completely lost with all those Softcam config files!

Please point me to the right direction.

I have installed the latest official Oscam version: oscam-svn11273-mips-tuxbox-oe2.0-webif-Distribution

It seems to be working as I can see the Oscam Web Interface and Live Log.

    Question Number One

Does this official (not patched) version of Oscam support PowerVu decoding via SoftCam.Key file?

I want to start with opening BISS channels on Yamal 202 at 49 E

My previous SoftCam.Key file successfully opened all those BISS channels on Yamal 202 with Mgcamd emulator.

But later I understood that Mgcamd is not able to open PowerVu.

So I uninstalled Mgcamd and installed Oscam as a stand alone version.

I have studied a lot of discussions about Oscam config files setup on various forums.

I have tried all possible configurations suggested on various forums but still cannot open a single BISS channel with Oscam.

Is it possible that perhaps the BISS key format in my old SoftCam.Key file that was working with Mgcamd is not valid for Oscam?

The BISS keys in my old SoftCam.Key file are entered in the following format:

    F 00011FFF 00 0327022C106251C3 ;Yamal 202 (49E)
    F 00011FFF 01 0327022C106251C3 ;Yamal 202 (49E)
    F 00021FFF 00 0327022C106251C3 ;Yamal 202 (49E)
    F 00021FFF 01 0327022C106251C3 ;Yamal 202 (49E)
    F 05141FFF 00 0327022C106251C3 ;Yamal 202 (49E)
    F 05141FFF 01 0327022C106251C3 ;Yamal 202 (49E)
    The Oscam Live Log shows:

    Question Number Two

Can this be related to the wrong format of BISS key in my old SoftCam.Key file
