YallaTV, the video-on-demand portal for Arab filmmakers, is this month featuring Super.Full., a short film shot in the Qatari capital Doha by Niam Atani.

The narrative drama had its world premiere at the Seattle International Film Festival in May 2011, and won the 2012 Forster Film Festival in Australia. The 13-minute film tells the story of a poor petrol attendant who promises to take his wife to an expensive restaurant for her birthday, then struggles to realise the gift.

YallaTV, which promotes new and upcoming filmmakers from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), concentrates each month on Arabic content that deserves to reach a wide audience. The portal claims to support a growing online community of filmmakers and fans seeking to promote the growth and professionalism of the Arab film industry.
