A relaunch of Abu Dhabi Al Emarat and Abu Dhabi Al Oula TV channels is set for 2 December 2013, with fresh new programming to coincide with UAE National Day, parent organisation Abu Dhabi Media (ADM) has announced.
"This relaunch project was completed following efforts that spanned over a year and involved the development and enhancement of the Company's working processes," said Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, chairman, Abu Dhabi Media.
"This project was completed in stages, the first of which included completing an update of our administrative structure and working policies, as well as a restructuring of the Company's departments, in order to ensure maximum efficiency," he added.
Enriched local content is being developed for Abu Dhabi Al Emarat as part of its public service mandate, tailored to the interests of local and regional audiences, according to ADM. A new morning show titled, Sabah el Dar, will highlight events taking place across the UAE, and will broadcast from its own studio and on location in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi Al Oula TV channel, meanwhile, will also feature new, quality entertainment for Arab viewers across the region. "This new grid will further enhance the channel's presence as the Arab viewer's gateway to entertainment, as well as a bridge for advertisers to connect with their target audiences," said ADM.
The Abu Dhabi TV Network's flagship news programme, Oloum Al Dar, will be broadcast from an all-new studio with upgraded production capabilities and focus on delivering the latest news from the seven Emirates.
The upgraded facilities and technology have been integrated in partnership with Sky News Arabia, Sky News UK, and twofour54 – all of which have also provided employee training.
