ESPN Deportes is beefing up its portfolio of live football matches with the announcement that it will air select games of the Liga BBVA Bancomer MX, Mexico's premier national soccer league.

The network kicked off the season with a doubleheader on 19 July, which started with Queretaro FC vs. Monarcas Morelia followed by Tijuana FC and Altas taking the field. ESPN2 will also carry select English-language games this year.

The season returns with a new analysis show featuring Jorge Ramos, Hernan Pereyra and Ricardo Mayorga, bringing audiences extensive Liga BBVA Bancomer MX coverage and analysis.

The Liga BBVA Bancomer MX league includes 18 first division clubs. In 2011, the league changed its format to two tournaments per seasons: the Apertura (opening), which starts in the summer, and the Clausura (closing), played through the winter.
