Gaumont International Television, the production and distribution arm of the European motion picture studio, has strengthened its management team on the back of a string of renewals and development deals.
The news comes hot on the heels of Gaumont winning renewals for the hit programmes Hannibal and Hemlock Grove, the development of Barbarella and a 2-for-1 straight-to-series commitment deal with Fox Broadcasting Company.
Gaumont has now hired three new key executives — Carol Trussell, Head of Production; Adam Fishbach, Senior Vice President of Creative Affairs; and Mary Carol Bulger, Director of Production Administration — who will be based in Los Angeles.
As Head of Production for GIT, Trussell will oversee both Hannibal for NBC and Hemlock Grove for the Netflix over-the-top (OTT) channel. She will also be responsible for overseeing production of the upcoming series of Barbarella that is set to start production in early 2014. In his new position, Fishbach will be responsible for new series development at the company while Bulger will coordinate information and documents between the company’s productions, as well as having other responsibilities.
