Cyfrowy Polsat NewThe Polish Prosecution (‘Prokuratura’) in Warsaw has ruled that Cyfrowy Polsat did not break the law in broadcasting two football matches on a pay-per-view basis last year.
The matches in question, which saw the national team play Montenegro and Moldova in qualification games for the 2014 World Cup, were shown after it became clear they would not be shown of public TV.
An investigation into the legality of the pay-per-view broadcasts was initiated following a notification by the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) on March 6 this year.
