French prodco ITV Studios France is to adapt the BBC 2 TV format Keeping Britain Alive for France 2, which will focus on the French medical system.
Some 50 shooting teams will be dispatched across France to give a 24-hours examination of the work in the various health sectors.
If the show is successful, ITV Studios France and France 2 could use this narrative structure to develop other shows about various professions in order to offer in the prime-time schedule.
ITV Studios France is already producing Four Weddings and Who Dare Sings (France 4), and is preparing a TF1 local version of The Audience.
Keeping Britain Alive was broadcast last spring in the UK.
