The Croatian incumbent Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT) has emerged as a frontrunner to buy its Slovenian counterpart.
Several reports in Croatia have suggested that Hrvatski Telekom, which is 51%-owned by Deutsche Telekom, is preparing a bid for Telekom Slovenije.
At the same time, other potential buyers are “restrained”, with one – British Telecom – denying it is in the running.
Others who may be interested, but have refused to comment, include Telenor and Telekom Austria.
Both Hrvatski Telekom and Telekom Slovenije are important player’s in their countries’ respective TV industries.
