Eurosport has acquired the TV rights for the Bundesliga in women's football from Germany's national football association DFB for the seasons from 2013/14 to 2016/17.

The sports channel wants to show one live game per week – both in Germany and in international markets.

With the Bundesliga matches, which will be produced in high definition (HD), Eurosport expands its women's football line-up by a domestic league for the first time. The channel also shows, for example, the World and European Championships and the Champions League in women's football.

The 2013/14 season will kick off at Eurosport with the live transmission of the game between current Bundesliga champions VfL Wolfsburg and FC Bayern Munich on 7 September at 1pm CET.
