LaBox Fibre boosts Numericable sales

French cable operator Numericable has posted revenues of €453 million over the first six months of 2013, up 3.8% – a growth which, according to the company, has been driven by innovation and fibre optics.
Totalling 1.65 million individual subscribers in June 2013, Numericable's global subscriber base increased by 4.3% compared to the same period in 2012.
This moderate growth was driven by multi-play subscribers to both the Numericable brand and white label contracts – which grew 11.3 % to 1.3 million – along with the commercial success of Numericable's LaBox Fibre which was launched in 2012.
The box has already been adopted by 216,000 homes, representing a 41% growth over one year.
Numericable aims to extend fibre deployment across the entire French territory where 4.9 million homes are already passed out of a total of 9.8 million potential homes.
The company's operating profit is stable at €230 million.
