Onetastic to expand throughout Latin America

Italian TV broadcasting technology manufacturer Onetastic is planning to expand its market throughout the whole of Latin America, after successful experiences in Colombia, Chile and Mexico.
This is one of the reasons why the company was present at Brazil's TV engineering exhibition and congress, SET Broadcast & Cable, which was held last week in Sao Paulo.
The first step in the company's plan is to establish Onetastic in the Brazilian market, which is expected to experience the greatest growth in the region over the next few years. The Italian company has recently worked with local distributors in Colombia and Chile, and may soon jump into the Argentinian market.
According to the company, the peculiarities of the TV market in Latin America bring many opportunities for technology companies, since the countries require different solutions when it comes to implementing the new digital television networks. In addition, the fact of having a special standard for Latin America DTT – a slightly changed version of the Japanese ISDB-T standard – is also a challenge for European companies.
During SET, Onetastic exhibited low energy consumption devices which will help operators and broadcasters reduce costs while maintaining quality standards. The company's product range includes digital and analogue emitters, gap-fillers and synchronised GPS systems.
