Sport1 US launches live stream

Sport1 US, the German pay-TV channel for the fans of US sports which went on air on 1 August, has launched a live stream on the Internet. The channel, which shows sports including the NFL, NBA, College Football, College Basketball, the IndyCar Series, and from 2014 Major League Soccer live, can be received both on the PCs and laptops as well as on the iPhone and iPad.

The live stream of Sport1 US can be found at while the live stream of sister channel Sport1+ is available at Access costs 10 per month per channel. Viewers who subscribe to both channels as a package pay a combined monthly fee of 15. The subscription contracts run for 12 months. In addition, selected sports events are offered as single live streams at for 5 each.
A live stream app for Android devices is planned for the end of 2013. The live streams are available to Internet users in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In Switzerland, however, the Italian Serie A and French Ligue 1 are not offered as part of the live streams due to rights reasons.
