Russian broadcasters have asked for the 10 channels allocated frequencies on the country’s second DTT multiplex to be granted public status.
According to Kommersant, such a move would allow them to be distributed on cable networks.
However, the Ministry of Communication regards such a proposal as unrealistic as it would require a number of legislative changes and a presidential decree.
The state budget would also not be sufficient to implement such a change.
