Visiware is broadening its Numericable game package by launching new channels based on the brands Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and Murder, She Wrote.
The French provider of interactive television game services has expanded the distribution of the game Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? through an agreement signed with 2waytraffic, a subsidiary of the Sony group and holder of the show's rights in France.
The game has already launched on Dish in the United States and on Videotron in Canada via an agreement with Disney-ABC.
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? will be accessible to Numericable subscribers who have a CableBox or an HDbox on channel 187. They will be able to answer over 5,000 questions and climb the pyramid of (virtual) winnings to reach 1,000,000.
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? is available by subscription for 2.50/month, as well as being part of the new Premium Game Pass costing 12/month.
Visiware is also extending its agreement with Universal Partnerships & Licensing on behalf of the NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Group, on Murder, She Wrote. It gives Numericable subscribers access to the world of investigation television series starring Angela Lansbury.
Available on channel 188, for subscribers who have a CableBox or HDbox, the game is priced 2.50/month or part of the Premium Game Package for 12/month.
So that every subscriber can discover the package of games available on Numericable, Visiware is also launching a portal with all of the game channels accessible on the network. Jade, short for Games On Demand in French (Jeux A La Demande), can be accessed on channel 180 and enables subscribers to try out 45 games before subscribing.
