The smart TV app-creation tool Opera TV Snap is proving to be a resounding success.
Launched only in July with Dailymotion as its first partner, it has already resulted in over 100 TV apps being submitted by Dailymotion content partners.
They will join the hundreds of apps in the Opera TV Store, spanning video, music, games, social media, news and utilities.
Major brand to have already used Opera TV Snap include one of Europe’s fastest growing online music channels The Mahogany Sessions, French daily newspaper Le Figaro and environment and the green technology channel Green.TV.
The Opera TV Store application platform has already shipped on tens of millions of devices, including Smart TVs and Blu-ray Disc players from Sony and TCL, and is coming soon to TiVo, Hisense and Konka devices.
Commenting on the progress to date, Daniel Nordberg, director of business development for TV & Devices at Opera Software, said: “The rapid surge in app submissions to the Opera TV Store with Opera TV Snap shows just how keen brands and video owners are to share their content with massive new audiences worldwide.

Opera TV Snap and Opera TV Store will be in available to view in Hall 14, Booth 111 at IBC.
