AMSTERDAM, September 12, 2013 – Acutek Solutions, Dune HD and RealNetworks, Inc., have developed a new comprehensive solution for Over-the-Top (OTT) content providers building Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) services. The new solution will be unveiled at IBC2013. This fully-compatible system allows companies to immediately benefit from the fast-growing segment of IPTV and OTT content delivery in consumer, hospitality, education and corporate markets.

The new solution combines industry-leading Helix encoding and media servers from RealNetworks, interactive middleware from Acutek Solutions powered by Beenius, and high-performance set-top boxes from Dune HD into a comprehensive system designed to reduce the time and cost of distributing digital content for IPTV and OTT services. Broadband providers, content aggregators and hospitality organizations are just some of the industries to benefit from the robust and fully integrated broadcast grade solution.

One of the primary drivers for this new solution is the need for companies to quickly expand into the rapidly growing IPTV and OTT markets. To meet market demand, the solution can be up and running in just 90 days and is available worldwide. “We recognize that the high demand for IPTV delivery systems requires a proven solution, fully supported and ready to deploy,” said Tuan Vo, CEO, Acutek Solutions. “In combining the industry’s most impressive technologies from RealNetworks, Dune HD and Beenius, we’re introducing the highest-quality solution to help customers immediately begin delivering content to IPTV subscribers.”

This new system is the most cost-effective way for companies to deliver streaming content to consumer TVs without requiring extensive customization or integration. “We are excited to play a key role in this solution, which directly addresses the pain points we’ve been hearing from content service providers. The result is a system that’s fully scalable for all sizes of organizations and designed to be flexible to leverage continuous market opportunities,” said Mark Donnigan, General Manager, Americas, Dune HD.

“Helix Broadcaster, part of the Helix Media Delivery Platform, is embedded in this new solution to provide cutting-edge content creation and streaming for IPTV. Our goal is to support customers who want to take immediate advantage of this growing market,” said Mike Womack, Senior Director, RealNetworks Helix Division.

The companies will showcase the new system at this year’s International Broadcasting Convention (IBC2013) in Amsterdam, September 12-17. Information and demonstrations can be found at the following IBC2013 locations:
