German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has secured a movie package from German rights dealer Tele München Gruppe.
The line-up includes Bille August's arthouse film Night Train to Lisbon with Academy Award-winner Jeremy Irons (Inland Empire) and Mélanie Laurent (Inglourious Basterds) as well as the highly anticipated new work from director Lars von Trier, Nymphomaniac 1, starring Charlotte Gainsbourg (Melancholia), Willem Dafoe (Antichrist), Shia LaBeouf (Transformers) and Stellan Skarsgård (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).
The package also contains Felix Fuchssteiner's Rubinrot (Ruby Red), based on the first book in the bestselling trilogy from Kerstin Gier, starring Maria Ehrich (Adlon - a Family Saga) and Jannis Niewöhner (TKKG and the Mysterious Mind Machine) as well as the movie adaption of the bestseller The Hundred-Year-Old Man who Climbed out the Window and Disappeared.
Also part of the deal are Hollywood blockbusters such as Iron Man 3 with Robert Downey Jr and Academy Award-winner Gwyneth Paltrow as well as R.E.D. 2 with Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren.
