Mexico's TV Azteca and Sky Sports UK have both contracted ChyronHego to supercharge their broadcast graphics, especially for football coverage.
Sky Sports UK tapped ChyronHego to deliver a graphics solution to enhance its live football coverage. The combination of TRACAB Player Tracking data and the ChyronHego's advanced virtual graphics and football analysis tools allow graphics to be tagged to any player on the pitch and follow them across the field of play.
"ChyronHego's Player Tracking graphics present many new possibilities for broadcasters such as Sky Sports," said Johan Apel, president and COO at ChyronHego. "Single players or formations of players can immediately be highlighted and identified during a live match, and the graphic then automatically follows each player as they move in 3D space. This allows for the quick and easy creation of complex analysis sequences that would typically be reserved for post-match highlight shows and would require time consuming key framing and preparation work."
Spanish-language television powerhouse TV Azteca has undertaken a major graphics overhaul with ChyronHego's BlueNet solution at its headquarters in Mexico City, kicking off with the recent Confederation Cup 2013 broadcast. Going forward, TV Azteca will use the platform for news and sports graphics, social media content and virtual product placement.
"We deployed the BlueNet workflow during Fut Azteca's coverage of Confederation Cup 2013 and the end result was a remarkable broadcast for our viewers," said Pedro Carmona, special events engineering director at TV Azteca. "In addition to providing industry-standard functionality essential to live production, ChyronHego's graphics solutions offer intuitive operation complemented by the company's dedicated Latin American team that has demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism, skills and support."
TV Azteca's complete BlueNet workflow includes multiple Lyric PRO-based Mosaic XL systems for seamless graphics creation and playout, CAMIO for centralized graphics asset management, Paint for the quick creation of analysis graphics, SHOUT for incorporating social media commentary, and virtual placement for the easy addition of tie-to-surface graphics.
