Internet TV platform FilmOn.com has signed a deal with Germany's international broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW).
Under the agreement, DW's international news and current affairs channel DW-TV will become available in four different languages via the FilmOn.com platform on PCs and smartphones. The dealfollows similar agreements with TVE of Spain and ABC in Australia.
"We are delighted to take up this opportunity to share Deutsche Welle's authoritative and highly engaging rolling content with our growing user base," said FilmOn.com CEO Alki David. "It has long been the target of FilmOn.com to add major global TV channels to our platform. We will make additional announcements about further partnerships with other leading broadcasters in the near future."
FilmOn.com's portfolio currently comprises more than 500 TV channels and 45,000 hours of videocasts updated on a rolling basis.
